The MDP presidential candidate President Ibrahim Mohammed Solih will submit his candidacy form within the next two days, his campaign team said.

Social media posts have been circulating stating President Solih will announce Vice President Faisal Naseem as his running mate.

An MDP official told 'One' on Sunday that the President's visit to Fuvahmulah City does not include the announcement of a running mate.

'One' has learned that after determining a running mate within the next two days, the President will submit his candidacy form to the Election Commission.

During his visit to Fuvahmulah City, the President will inaugurate the Dhoondigan Football Stadium, the newly constructed multipurpose hall at Fuvahmulah School, the MDA Political Center and the Adaalat Party's campaign booth. He is also scheduled to inaugurate the Home Solar Program.

MDP is also scheduled to hold a "Happy and Peaceful Maldives" rally at Fuvahmulah City stadium at 2100hrs.
