The Maldives Correctional Service has extended Adeeb's permission to travel abroad for medical treatment until August.

Correctional Services Tweeted on Tuesday that the permission has been extended until August 28, 2023.

Adeeb, who was sentenced to 20 years in jail in the MMPRC scam, was given a 10-day permission to travel to Singapore for medical treatment after receiving treatment at the IGMH.

Adeeb was sent abroad after doctors advised that he needed to undergo tests that could not be done in Maldives. He is undergoing treatment for a neurological disorder, according to his political party, MTD.
