A woman is being treated for burn injuries after a gas canister exploded inside a house in Male' City.

In a message to the media, MNDF said that the Fire and Rescue Service had been deployed after a gas bottle exploded in M. Delhivilla.

It is suspected that the incident took place due to a gas leak.

The woman who was injured is the same person who had turned on the stove. She is undergoing treatment at the hospital for burn injuries to her face. However, the extent of the injury remains unclear.
