MDP has won all 25 seats of the 3 major cities at the Parliamentary Election 2019.

This marks the first time a single party has been able to win all seats of all the cities in the country. This includes 15 seats in Male, 7 in Addu and 3 in Fuvahmulah.

While it was expected that the party was going to do well, no one had expected them to take the super majority of the parliament.

In a historic win for MDP, they are looking at taking a total of 64 seats or more at the Parliamentary Election.
