Elections Commission has revealed that the International Observers for the Parliamentary Election 2019 will be active in a total of four areas apart from capital Male’.

Speaking to ‘One Online’, media officer of Elections Commission, Yooshau Naseem revealed that the international observers would be active in Addu City, Haa Dhaal Atoll, Baa Atoll and Laamu Atoll in addition to Male’ City.

A total of 38 observers are taking part in the election according to Yooshau.

Elections Commission had previously revealed that observers from 4 countries, 9 organizations and 4 publications would be taking part in the election. Commonwealth and EU are among some of the organizations which would be observing the election.

EC had permitted to about 14 international medias to observe and cover the Presidential Election held in September of last year as well.
