Bosnia's Milomir Seslija has signed up as the new coach of Maziya Sports and Recreation Club.

While Maziya's new coach was announced at the National Stadium today, Ivan Vankov Kolev, who started the season with the club, terminated his contract under a mutual agreement late last month. Ivan has won the Charity Shield and the Presidents Cup with the club.

Maziya have come out strong this season and have improved so far, but some have said that they have not played their best.

The newly announced coach is an experienced coach who has been coaching since 2001. After previously playing for several Malaysian league clubs, he has also maintained close ties with Asia in coaching. UEFA Pro License coach Milo began his coaching career with Bosnian clubs and also coached Oman's Al Sib in 2008.

Since then, Milo has coached Indonesia's biggest club Arema FC three times.

He also won the 2019 Indonesian Presidents Cup with the club.

Milo has also coached Sabah in the Malaysian League and many other Indonesian clubs such as Madura United, PSM Maksar and Borneo.

Being the coach of Maziya is one of the most pressured roles in the Maldives. Maziya played under three coaches last season.

Since the start of the season, the Presidents Cup was coached by Mohammed Shiyaz (Mohan). Since then, the club has played under Serbian Miodrag Jesic, who has secured the league for the club.
