Leader of PPM/PNC coalition and president of PNC, Abdulraheem Abdulla (Adhurey) has stated that they do not need to quit 'India Out' campaign even if 'The Democrats' call for it.
Adhurey stated that the 'India Out' campaign spearheaded by former president Yameen is a campaign to ensure the Indian military present in Maldives leaves.
PPM/PNC coalition began a door-to-door campaign on Monday to kick-start Yameen's presidential campaign. Speaking to the press during the event, Adhurey stated that the coalition will decide their course of action free from any influence by other political parties.
"Our agenda will be set based on consultation from president Yameen whether it is the 'India Out' campaign or anything else," Adhurey said.
He added that the coalitions senate members are well aware of the PPM/PNC coalition's stance on things.
PPM/PNC coalition has been having joint-party discussions with 'The Democrats' regarding the presidential elections. 'The Democrats' Founder Hassan Latheef had previously stated that the party cannot work with PPM/PNC coalition if they continue the 'India Out' campaign.
