President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has stated that by the third year of his presidency, works on establishing a clean water system and sewerage system in all islands would be underway.

The President’s statement came during a campaign event held by MDP in HDh. Nolhivaranfaru. The President noted that there were quite a lot of work to be done for the development of the islands, and that these included quite a number of projects in terms of water and sewerage systems as well as housing issues.

“For development to come about, we need to ensure basic necessities are met. We need to ensure everything is available in order to lead a fruitful life,” President Solih added.

The President noted that establishing a water and sewerage system in every island was a pledge, and that he has been working tirelessly to fulfill all of the pledges since assuming office.
