In a message sent out on Monday, Qasim Ibrahim has questioned about the agreement between the four leaders and President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, who was the candidate at the time and asked who had forgotten about who upon coming to a position of power.

In his message, Qasim had also raised the question as to who resorted to disrespecting the agreement within a month of coming to power.

He also alleged that decisions which required mutual discussions were not respected and noted that certain people have been framing their words in a way which encouraged irreligious activities.

Qasim, who is also currently the Speaker of Parliament noted that under his tenure, he would not let anyone go against the constitution, and that no matter how angry one gets he will not succumb to any unconstitutional acts.

“Who are the ones going around saying that MDP should be getting the majority in the upcoming elections? Where is the agreement between the four leaders? Where is the agreement between MDP and the Presidential Candidate? Does MDP even remember about it? Is everything really going according to the agreements and the promises made? I will not let anything unconstitutional happen during my tenure as Speaker. That is something no one can make me do,” Qasim noted in his message.
