MWSC network was initially designed for 60,000 people: MD

Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) Managing Director, Mr. Adam Azim has stated that the company is currently serving the capital city Male’, with a network that was developed for 60,000 people.

The statement came during an event held to celebrate the 24th anniversary of the company. He stressed that the company has had to serve about 200,000 people with a network that was developed for 60,000 people initially and that this has caused major problems such as increased manpower to provide their services.

“To provide these services, about 900 people are currently working in MWSC. Those 900 employees undergo several hardships every day to make sure that the service is excellent at all times,” he added.

Regardless such difficulties, Mr. Azim noted that everyone’s first priority should be their families and that MWSC would never work in a way which puts their employees away from their families.
