President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has offered assurances that this current administration steers clear of politically influencing officers of Maldives Police Service.

The President said this while speaking at the event held, marking the 86th Anniversary of Maldives Police Service at Dharubaaruge last night. He noted that the stability of the defense and peace of a nation is based on the loyalty and honesty of its Police officers.

As such, he noted that it is his biggest desire to ensure that Maldivian Police officers are those that always respect the law and serve within the limits of the law at the highest level.

He said that God-willing, he will move forward with his governance by ensuring that Maldives Police have the complete choice to establish peace and freedom in this country.

President Solih said that the Maldives Police should therefore work with honesty to ensure contentment and happiness for the people of Maldives.
