President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has inaugurated a web portal consisting information on local islands, called- Island MV.

While the inauguration of Islands MV at Hulhumale’ Schwack Cinema took place last night, the launching of the portal was one of President Solih’s 100 day campaign pledges.

The portal serves to ensure that the power and choice of developing the entire economic development of the island rests on the locals.

The designing of the web portal was officially designated to the Ministry of Communication, Science and Technology.  While majority of communications are widespread on the internet, the Islands MV portal will allow further developments and progress for the local islands.

In an effort to promote local tourism, advertisements and beautiful sceneries of Maldives will also be available on the website. This would work to completely change the current perspective of tourists regarding Maldives.

The web portal will not only promote the beauty of the islands but further showcase the uniqueness of each island.
