Attorney, Husnu al-Suood has said that there is no truth to allegations against candidate Hisaan Hussain.

Allegations of abusing and mistreating children have been raised against Parliamentary hopeful for the Thulhaadhoo constituency on an MDP ticket, Hisaan Hussain.

Suood took to twitter and reiterated that Hisaan is an attorney that exceedingly favors justice, and maintains rules and regulations as well as respects for others. He added that the allegations are completely false and said that they were made in an attempt to defame and violate Hisaan’s right to participate in the election.

While Suood has sent out this tweet, allegations have been raised by Thulhaadhoo citizen Ahmed Anas in a letter to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, stating that Hisaan abused himself and other students staying at her father’s home.

Anas had said that his was emboldened to come forward after MDP retracted support for Thinadhoo constituency candidate Abdul Mughni concerning allegations of domestic abuse.  Anas further reiterated that these matters should be treated indiscriminately and in favor of justice.
