Family Court has gone into recess starting last Friday and will remain in recess until December 31st.
Family Court revealed that during recess, their workload will be significantly less. However, they are still accepting forms and will be conducting marriages, while administrative work will proceed uninterrupted.
They further added that several training programs will be conducted for their staff and judges during this recess.
While the family court has gone into recess, the High Court has also gone into recess since December. Even though the court is going on recess, trial hearings where verdicts will be issued is expected to move forward in addition to cases that need to be finished within a certain time frame according to law.
This will also include cases that need to be fast-tracked, as well as cases where the Judges Bench agrees on a fast-tracked verdict.
The Supreme Court is also currently at recess, however, the law dictates that trial hearings could still be scheduled at the judges discretion.
