MDP has retracted the support for parliament hopeful, Abdula Mughnee, running for the North Thinadhoo constituency on the MDP ticket.
The MP for Addu-Meedhoo constituency, Rozaina Adam confirmed retraction via twitter. She said that MDP retracted the support for Mugunee following the suspicions against him.
MP Rozaina said that neither the former President Nasheed nor any other MDP affiliated politicians will be part of Mughnee's campaign.
MDP just announced at press that party has withdrawn support 4Thinadhoo Uthuru candidate Mughnee following serious allegations of domestic violence. RN or any other party official won’t b part of his campaign.

Allegations of domestic abuse by the parliament hopeful against his wife are being spread across social media.
The former President, Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, weighed in on Twitter supporting MDP's decision to withdraw the support.
I applaud @MDPSecretariat for withdrawing support from an MDP candidate who is facing serious allegations of domestic violence. A very good decision.
