The first shipments of precast concrete blocks and rock boulders required for Kaafu Kandu Oiy Giri Harbor Development Project have been delivered to the site, according to contractor Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).

They revealed that the new channel basin dredging operations are ongoing, with 46% project progress.

The scope of works for this project include harbor dredging operations of 10,000cbm, channel dredging operations of 10,000cbm, construction of a 125m quay wall, a 265m breakwater, a 63m revetment, installation of harbor pavement, harbor lights and navigational lights.

The value of the project is MVR 36.13 million.
