President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has said that he is a person that will not hesitate to allow differing philosophies and thought.

The President said this while speaking at a Parliamentary campaign event at Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) Noonu Manadhoo. He added that he is someone that knows to work with and allow differing philosophies and thoughts. He noted that he has reached to his current position through the experience he has gained from doing so.

President Solih additionally said that he has assumed the Presidency through certain pledges to the people of Maldives. He noted that the people were desperate for certain changes at that time and he realizes that the solutions to these issues were also given at that time.

He added that he realizes that he has the trust of the people and added that he himself was one person that repeatedly spoke regarding this topic the most. President Solih said that, as it was his duty to ensure that these pledges reach fruition, he has now come out in support of electing a Parliament that will allow these changes to take place.
