President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has said that the Presidential elections were won with help of immense hard work of political parties of the coalition and many others.  He reiterated that he will truly never forget this fact.

The President said this while speaking at campaign event of Parliamentary hopeful with MDP ticket, Jeehan Mahmood.

He said that his win of the popular vote in the Presidential elections had been due to the support of the coalition parties. As such, he noted the hard work of the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP), Adhaalath Party, Jumhooree Party as well as the input of former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom and several others in the Presidential elections.

The President said that the support of these parties was not without a cause. He noted that all parties had believed in a change that needed to be brought to Maldives at that situation and time.

As such, he said that he will not forget these contributions, for as long as he is President. He noted that, even in carrying out his current work, he will not allow any harm to befall these parties in any way.
