Iskandhar School's Principal, Hussain Saeed, has been appointed Acting Principal of Arabiyya School.

The change is followed by the appointment of Arabiyya's Principal, Mohamed Shujau, to National Institute of Education (NIE).

Education Ministry said that Hussain Saeed was appointed Acting Principal at Arabiyya to further improve the administrative operations and the betterment of the the students.

"Hussain Saeed has been appointed Acting Principal at Arabiyya on 7 November 2022," Education Ministry said.

Arabiyya School parents have been protesting the change by Education Ministry, stating that Shujau was transferred because he did not oppose the 'Save Arabiyya' campaign by the parents.

However, Permanent Secretary at Education Ministry, Ahmed Ali, told 'One' that the transfer is not related to the 'Save Arabiyya' campaign in anyway, but rather due to a policy change.
