Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has revealed information on the assistance of United States in the development of aviation security, finance and operational proceedings in Maldives.

The information was imparted during a meeting held between Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid and.Ambassador of USA to Maldives, Alaina B. Teplitz.

The Minister Shahid held talks with the US Ambassador on further strengthening ties between Maldives and the United States during the meeting.

The Minister convey his gratitude for  the constant support provided by the United States government. He further gave assurances that full assistance will be provided by him to the United States in the joint effort by both nations.  

The State Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Khaleel and Foreign Secretary Abdul Ghafoor Mohamed took part in the meeting. Additionally, Parliament-approved Maldivian Ambassador to USA, Thilmeeza Hussain as well as Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Shiuneen also accompanied Minister Shahid in the meeting.
