Prominent Zimbabwean Islamic scholar, Mufti Menk has arrived in the Maldives.
Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali, and senior officials at the Ministry gave the scholar a warm welcome to the country.
Mufti who is visiting the country on an invitation extended by the Ministry will be giving sermons in three different regions of the nation. He will also be the imam leading Friday Prayers at the Islamic Center tomorrow.
Mufti Menk's itinerary during this trip:
- October 28 at Malé Carnival Area
- October 29 at Fuvahmulah Stadium
- October 30 at Addu City Square
- October 31 at Hulhumalé Synthetic Track
The sermons will be held at 8:45 pm each night and will be broadcast through television, Radio, and Social Media.
Topics of the sermons have been curated in relation to issues faced by society in general. These include Relation to Allah, Solving Family Issues as well as dealing with Depression and Anxiety.
The Ministry further revealed such sermons are also going to be arranged for government employees.
