Delegations of the European Union (EU) have met to discuss business development and investment opportunities in Maldives.

The discussions were carried out during a meeting held with the EU delegation and President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih yesterday. The delegation’s purpose for the visiting was to conduct the 4th EU-Maldives Policy Dialogue.

The delegation was informed of the political climate in Maldives during this visit. Information was also passed along regarding efforts to ensure a free and fair upcoming parliamentary election.

The accomplishments within President Solih’s 100 day campaign pledges were also discussed during the meeting.

The EU-Maldives Policy Dialogue is a discussion where thoughts on various areas are exchanged between the multiple-nation organization and Maldives.

The senior most official who participated in the Dialogue held at Kurumba Maldives was Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid. The EU representative at the event was the Head of the European Union Delegation to the Maldives, Tung-Lai Margue.
