Brennia Kottefaru Bar has burnt down after fire broke out early morning hours.

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) said on Friday that Lh. Naifaru Fire Station of Northern Area responded to reports of a fire incident around 0112hrs in the morning.

MNDF said around 90% of the fire had been contained by the resort's fire squad by the time MNDF firemen arrived around 0246hrs.

MNDF firemen and the resort fire squad managed to put out the fire completely around 0405hrs, MNDF said.

MNDF further added that while no one was injured in the fire incident, the building was burnt beyond use.
