Chef's Guild of Maldives (CMG) has introduced 'CMG Chefs Awards 2022.

The biennial awards were introduced on the sidelines of the 50th Anniversary of Tourism in Maldives, to celebrate the talented professionals in culinary arts field in the Maldives who are dedicated to advancing culinary arts in Maldives.

CGM said they encourage chefs to foster their culinary creativity within the kitchens and the community. CGM added that they aim to recognise, support, and appreciate the talented culinary professionals and their contribution to the industry.

CGM is also working on developing a National Culinary Team to represent Maldives in international competitions and forums.

CGM Chefs Award 2022 categories are:

  • Executive Chef
  • Sous Chef
  • Competition Chef
  • Education Chef
  • Pastry and Bakery Chef
  • Young Chef
  • Long Service Special Awards

CGM has invited all chefs to apply for CGM Chefs Awards 2022. CGM is also encouraging restaurants and resorts to nominate their exceptional chefs for the awards as well.
