President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed Mariyam Shafeeq as the CEO of National Social Protection Agency (NSPA) on Thursday.

Her appointment follows the resignation of Ismail Azzam Wajeeh who previously filled the role off NSPA CEO.

Ismail Azzam Wajeeh has been appointed as the Managing Director (MD) of Aasandha Company Ltd.

Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) tweeted the appointments on Thursday. PCB appoints MD's and board members for state companies as per the advise of the President.

Prior to her appointment to NSPA, Mariyam Shafeeq filled the role of Technical Manager at Allied Insurance. She was appointed as MD at Aasandha in March 2019.

Prior to his appointment as MD of Aasandha, Ismail Azzam Wajeeh filled the role of NSPA CEO. He was appointed on 18 May 2017.
