President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has said that no Maldivian citizen will be left without a home by the end of the 5 year  current term of Presidency.

President Solih said this while speaking at campaign event of current MP and Parliamentary hopeful for Addu-Meedhoo constituency, Rozaina Adam. The President said once again in his address that he needs the cooperation of Parliament to fulfil his campaign pledges.

He acknowledged that there are currently various difficulties, justifications and excuses at Parliament. The President said however that this does not mean that the work is pushed back and added that we cannot remain without completing the necessary work.

President Solih said that he became the President with his campaign pledges and added that the people had voted for these pledges to become a reality. He said as such that the most important thing that can be accomplished today is the fulfilling of those pledges. He noted that if he is unable to do so, there is no purpose of him staying in position.

This is the first visit President Solih has taken to Addu City Meedhoo since the Presidential elections. He noted this fact in his speech and expressed his immense gratitude to the people of Addu City, and Meedhoo for their perfect support and trust in the Presidential election..
