Vice Chief of Defense Force Brigadier General Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef has said that preparations are currently underway to make the MNDF hospital - Senahiya an official hospital. He said that CT scan and MRI services would also be offered at the hospital.
The Vice Chief of Defense Force said this while speaking at an event held at Kalluvathukkal Koshi of MNDF last night to inform MNDF officers of their defense priorities. While the name “Senahiya hospital” indicates that it is a hospital, the current Senahiya is more of a clinic.
The Brigadier General noted in his address that CT and MRI machines will hopefully be installed soon. He added that it is his hope that Senahiya will be opened as a full fledged military hospital before this month’s end.
He further noted that there are current efforts to put together a software at this time and that the work should be completed in a few days. The Vice Chief of Defence Force revealed that the software preparation, upon being concluded will result in a mobile phone software.
He said that the software will allow the incorporation of slips taken at Senahiya during medical treatment as well as various other features. The Brigadier General noted that the application will serve to cut down the long waits in lines, or staying on hold on the phone to get a number for consultation at the hospital.
The Vice Chief of Defense Force added that the people will gain major benefits through services in Senahiya through the application. He noted that the lineup of taking numbers at the hospital will also be available via the application.
