Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed that the design and build of M. Muli Airport is currently underway.

MTCC said the runway reclamation and fire building plastering works are currently ongoing at the site with 42% and 68% work completion.

Scope of work for the project include reclamation operations of 14 hectares; coastal protection operations of 1,812m; construction of a 1200m x 30m runway; taxiway and an apron.

The project is valued at MVR 221.733 million.
