Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has revealed that the man injured in the accident near Addu Equitorial Hospital (AEH) is in critical condition.
The accident occurred on 7 September, when a lorry ran into a pedestrian. Mohamed Ahmeem, 40, from Hithadhoo sustained serious injuries and was transported to IGMH for urgent medical intervention.
IGMH's media officer told 'One' that Ahmeem is currently in ICU and in critical condition on the ventilator.
Ahmeem suffered a fractured skull, AEH's media officer said. He also sustained injuries to his lungs and internal organs.
