Bangladeshi resident, Alamghir, has been sentenced for 7 months for engaging in homosexuality.

Alamghir's trial which was carried out by Criminal Court in a closed hearing began on Monday. He had pled guilty to the charges during the hearing.

Criminal Court judge Ali Adam sentenced Alamghir for 7 months and 6 days, and repentance.

Alamgir, 26, was arrested on July 12 2022, after multiple videos were leaked online allegedly showing him engaging in homosexuality with multiple men including some high profile political figures.
