Maldives Meteorology (MET) has stated that the rainy weather will continue for the next three days.

They had also issued a White Alert from Haa Alif atoll till Dhaalu Atoll today due to worsening weather.

An official from MET revealed to ONE that the rainy weather will continue over the next three days where the seas are expected to be rough with strong winds. Gusts of wind of 15 to 23mph are expected with waves between 4 to 5ft in the Central and Northern Atolls while Southern Atolls can expect gusts of wind around 10mph.

They further added that tidal swells are expected during high tide in some islands.

MET has appealed for caution during sea transport and appealed to take all safety measures.
