Maldives Customs Service has said that the group of people who had attemped to bring in Idolatry statues through air travel have left the country.

A statement relased by Maldives Customs Service revealed that the Services had taken idolatry statues into custody from Indian nationals. The report stated that the Indian nationals included three men and a woman and that the statues had involved 28 idolatry statues of varying sizes.

Customs had declared that visitors have the option of taking back any goods that is brought in to Maldives, that are in violation of the regulations of this country.

Idolatry statues are prohibited from being brought into Maldives under Article 4 (b) of the law of items prohibited in Maldives.

Media Official of Maldives Customs Service Aishath Vilinee informed One Online last night that there were 27 large idolatry statues and one small one that the Indian nationals attempted to bring in.
