Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said the work on Sh. Lhaimagu Harbor Development Project is well underway, with overall 50% project progress.

MTCC added that the second shipment of rock boulders have been delivered to the project site on 14th July 2022.

Scope of work for the project include dredging and excavation operations of 31,000cbm, construction of a 350m breakwater, a 276m quay wall, a 500m revetment, installation of 1,380sqm pavement, and installation of navigation lights and streetlights.

The project is valued at MVR 56.3 million.
