Minister of Health Abdulla Ameen has participated in the Fourth Global Ministerial Summit on Patient Safety event in Saudi Arabia.

The Ministry has informed that Minister Ameen participated in the Summit that works to generate awareness on patient safety on an international level. Reportedly, discussions are held on assistance in areas that are lacking in various nations as well as methods to better the patient services.

Various national health officials, 50 senior officials of World Health Organization (WHO) and several leaders of organizations took part in the Global Summit. The Ministry has informed that Minister of Health Abdulla Ameen is to speak at this event.

The Health Ministry noted that various nations are taking part in ongoing discussions on ensuring safety during patient services under a declaration. As such, several nations are set to sign the  “Jeddah Declaration on Patient Safety” at this year’s Summit.

Ministry of Health has reported that Minister Ameen meeting with Director General of WHO, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has been schedule during this Summit. The Minister is also reportedly set to meet with various officials of organizations attending the Summit.
