State Electrical Company (STELCO) has announced scheduled power outage in Male' on Friday morning, citing maintenance works.

STELCO stated on Thursday that power outage is scheduled between 0630hrs and 0730hrs on Friday. STELCO added that power outages will last about 10 minutes.

Additionally, STELCO stated that the power outage is necessary to carry our upgrading work on the Greater Male interconnection grid.

Affected areas during power outage are:

  • Henveiru Stadium area
  • Nasandhura area, Carnival area
  • Gaakoshi flats, Arabiyya flats area
  • Gadiburu area, Majeedhee Magu Fini Park area
  • Maafannu Madhrasa, Dhunburi Mosque area

STELCO apologised for any inconvenience caused due to the power outage.
