Vinare Flats have been officially handed over to Housing Development Corporation (HDC).
The flats, developed by China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) was handed over to HDC at a ceremony held in Hulhumale Phase II on Monday. Vinares Flats were handed over to HDC by CMEC's Representative to Maldives, Liu Xiaoda to HDC's Managing Director, Suhail Ahmed.
Speaking at the ceremony, Suhail noted that Vinares is the second biggest housing project in Hulhumale. He added that Hulhumale Phase II has a population of over 200,000 people.
He added that CMEC has been a part of various development projects in Hulhumale since 2009. He thanked the Chinese authorities for their continued support in the development of Hulhumale.
Joining the ceremony online, Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid stated that CMEC has been conducting various projects in Maldives for the past 13 years.
The ceremony was attended by Vice President Faisal Naseem and Planning Minister Mohamed Aslam, alongside senior officials from CMEC.
