Ancient cemetery in Fuvahmulah City's Friday mosque has been vandalised.

Speaking to 'One', Fuvahmulah City's Deputy Mayor, Mohamed Fikry, said that the vandalism took place on Sunday night.

"Six grave stones have been vandalised. Some have been thrown into the sea", Fikry said.

The incident has been brought to Heritage Ministry's attention and is being investigated by Police.
