Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed that Gdh. Faresmathoda Airport Development Project is well underway, with overall 55% project progress.

They noted that the construction of Fire Building and Runway Wearing Course Works are currently ongoing, with 87% and 70% completion respectively.

The scope of the project includes, subbase and subgrade works for runway, taxiway, apron, fire pad and fire road, construction of a fire building and a terminal building. The value of the project is MVR 144.8 million.
