Maldives State Shipping (MSS)'s largest vessel has arrived in Maldives with 41,500 tons of cargo.

MSS tweeted on Tuesday that their new bulk carrier 'MSS Chrome' is the largest vessel to fly the Maldivian flag yet.

Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) gave 'MSS Chrome' a water salute to mark its maiden voyage to the Maldives.

'MSS Chrome' began the maiden voyage to Maldives on 29 May, with 41,500 tons of construction material. MSS had stated earlier that the bulk carrier will carry construction goods from all the countries Maldives buys material from.

The 23-member crew is largely Maldivian, except for 4 crew members.
