President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed Ambassador's to Japan, Belgium and European Union (EU) on Monday.

President Solih appointed Hassan Sobir as Ambassador of Maldives to Japan, and Omar Abdul Razzak as Ambassador of Maldives to Kingdom of Belgium and the Maldivian Mission to the EU. The two ambassadors were presented with their letters of credence by President Solih at a ceremony held at President's Office.

Hassan Sobir previously served as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Maldives to the Kingdom of Belgium, as well as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Head of Mission of Maldives to EU. President Solih made the appointment at the Minister's level.

Omar Abdul Razzak previously served as the High Commissioner go Maldives to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. President Solih made the appointment at the State Minister's level.
