Indian company, Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL) has been contracted by Ministry of Health to design and build hospitals in four islands.
The hospitals to be built under the contract are HA. Atoll Hospital, Dh. Atoll Hospital, GA. Atoll Hospital, and R. Alifushi Hospital.
At the signing ceremony held at Health Ministry, the contract was signed on behalf of TCIL by Executive Director (Civil), Atoll Kumar Jain. State Minister for Health, Ahmed Adil signed on behalf of the ministry.
The project valued at USD 57.23 million (MVR 883 million) will be financed through Indian Exim Bank's Buyers Credit Scheme.
Scope of the project include building a 50-bed hospital in HDh. Dhiddhoo, Dh. Kudahuvadhoo, and GA. Vilingili, and a 30-bed hospital in R. Alifushi.
