Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has delivered the first shipment of precast concrete blocks for the quay wall construction of HA. Dhihdhoo Harbour Extension and Jetty Construction Project to the site.

MTCC said the material was delivered to site on 24 May and that the Harbour basin dredging operations are currently ongoing.

Scope of work for the project includes dredging and excavation operation of 78,000cbm, construction of 616m breakwater, a 185m revetment, a 326m quay wall, and installation of 4,320sqm harbour pavement as well as installation of harbour lights.

The project is valued at MVR 69.8 million.
