HDC to open food stalls in Hiyaa Residences

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has decided to open food stalls in Hiyaa Residences.

Speaking to 'One', an HDC Official said that food stalls in the area will be opened in accordance to the regulations set by HPA and FDA. As such, HDC plans to set up four food stalls to cater short eats by residents living in the area and another four stalls that will sell ready made meals and drinks.

'The food stalls will be monitored constantly to ensure they fit HPA standards", the official said.

HDC removed the stationary food carts in the Hiyaa residences on 20 May, citing potential health risks due to environmental conditions in the area, adding that HDC would provide a regulated and safe way for food stalls to operate in the residences.
