Minister Fayyaz has assumed his duties as Chairperson of Maldives Democratic Party (MDP) and met with MDP secretariat.

At the meeting held on Monday, Fayyaz was joined by MDP's Vice President and President's Office Minister Mohamed Shifaz, Deputy Chairperson of MDP and MP of Hulhumale Constituency Ali Niyaz, Deputy Chairperson of MDP and MP of Baarah Constituency Ahmed Abdulla, and MDP Parliamentary Group's leader and MP of Noth Hithadhoo Constituency Mohamed Aslam.

MP of Addu Meedhoo Constituency Rozaina Adam who contested alongside Fayyaz for MDP's Women's Wing also assumed duties today. MDP Youth Wing's newly elected president Rifga Shiham also assumed duties of position today.

Fayyaz won MDP internal elections for Chairperson with 58% votes while Rozaina Adam won Women's Wing election with 60% votes, and Rifga Shiham won 7,476 votes out of the 14,445 youth wing votes.
