Two people have died following a launch accident at GA. Viligili harbour.

Maldives Police Services (MPS) said they received reports of a launch accident near GA. Viligili harbour including 5 passengers, two of whom fell into the ocean after the launch collided with the sea wall.

The two people have since been found, however they were declared dead by GA. Viligili hospital on arrival according to MPS.

MPS said that the other three passengers in the launch suffered various injuries. The accident is now being investigated by MPS.
