Vice President Faisal Naseem has urged new graduates from Islamic University of Maldives (IUM) to utilise their knowledge and expertise in addressing and resolving social issues present in society.
VP Naseem made the remarks in his address to the graduates at IUM's Convocation Ceremony 2022 on Thursday.
He stressed on promoting respect and kindness towards others, and spreading positivity in the society while speaking at length about the main social issues present in our society today.
Highlighting that human resource development is a key priority of the current administration, VP Naseem noted that President Solih's administration's policies strive to ensure all students receive equal and equitable opportunities when it comes to pursuing higher education.
VP Naseem presented certificates to Kulliyyah of Education's Bachelor of Teaching Quran and Master of Teaching and Learning programme graduates as well as a PhD graduate in Islamic Judicial Sciences and Legislative Policy from the Kulliyyah of Shariah and Law at the convocation.
He also presented Top Achievers awards to graduates from other programmes.
