Tourism Ministry introduces new tourism awards

Tourism Ministry of Maldives has decided to introduce 12 annual awards for the tourism sector.

Tourist resorts, hotels, guesthouses and vessels can contest for the awards as per the ministry. The annual awards will be given for the following categories:

Award for Staff Accommodation
Award for Staff Meals
Award for Staff Recreation/Entertainment
Award for Healthcare
Award for Safe Work Environment
Award for Purchase of Local Products
Award for Local Cultural Performer
Award for Local Musician
Award for Local DJ
Award for Highest Parity of Local Staff
Award for Highest Number of Female Staff
Award for Training and Care Development

Nominations for the awards will be open from 1st of June to 30th of June.

Awards will be given to the first, second and third places for resorts, hotels, guesthouses and vessels in each category.
