Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has begun work on Gahdhoo harbour development project.

MTCC was contracted with the project by Planning Ministry on 21 December 2021 to be completed within 365 days under 'design and build' regulation.

Scope of work for the the project include dredging and excavation operations of 23,017cbm, 35m revetment, 232m breakwater, 320m apron, 1,600sqm harbour pavement, a 26m bridge, and installation of harbour lights.

The project is valued at MVR 38.4 million.
