A number of Civil Service staff across various sectors have departed to India to join training programs conducted by India.

The team comprise of 40 civil service staff at managerial levels working at schools, ministries, and council offices. They will be partaking in the free training program from 9-21 May.

The 'Training program on field administration for civil servants of Maldives' conducted by National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) in India will include information sessions on Indian civil service, economic, social, and environmental policies. The training program is designed to include India's expertise in civil services as well as governance, Civil Services Commission (CSC) of Maldives said.

This is the 11th batch of CSC staff who have flown to India for training since the MoU between CSC and NCGG was signed in 2019. Maldives Media Council's Secretary General, Ibrahim Sameer, is leading the delegation on this trip.

The team will spend their first week of training at Lal Bahadur Shashtri National Academy in Uttarakhand, Mussoorie. The second week of sessions will be conducted in Delhi. Additionally, the team will also partake in a cultural night.
