MNDF continues search for the 35-year-old Mohamed Saeed who went missing after going diving in Fuvahmulah on Monday.

Saeed was reported missing around 3:36 on Monday afternoon after going diving at Fuvahmulah tiger shark point. MNDF Coastguard Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) has been conducting a search operation for him since.

MNDF stated that they searched 55 nautical miles on Monday on two harbour crafts to no avail. Search is ongoing today as well utilising two harbour crafts, adding that their Donier aircraft was en-route to join search operations.

Multiple divers in Fuvahmulah joined the search operation on Monday and today.

Saeed was wearing a black diving suit as well as a black mask when he went diving. MNDF has requested people to reach out to them via their 191 hotline with any information about Saeed.

Mahmood Faiz who accompanied Saeed on the dive is currently being treated at Kandima resort following health deterioration due to decompression during the dive.
